Alpha Efficiency:DAlpha Efficiency grades the non-equity sleeve of this stacked ETF on return above its borrowing cost: that's the true hurdle for a futures overlay. A sleeve that only matches its financing cost adds no value; grades above B mean the overlay is genuinely earning its keep. The non-equity leg is the commodities and crypto stack beyond plain large-cap beta. Daily-reset leverage and roll mechanics dominate outcomes versus spot coins or bullion.

BEGS is a 2× long sleeve: futures, swaps, and ETPs stack crypto and precious-metals beta into one listed vehicle. Daily reset means path dependence diverges from simply holding spot coins or bullion.

Manager and Issuer Pedigree

Rareview Capital is an independent ETF issuer focused on thematic and digital-asset products. It sits outside the Big Three index oligopoly, so distribution and research coverage are thinner than mega-brand funds.

BEGS is small by AUM and trades leveraged exposure, so bid/ask spreads and premium/discount to NAV can swing harder than large plain-vanilla ETFs. Liquidity is part of the return profile.

Outperformance

Outperforms when both assets trend with supportive volatility: gold catching a real-rate or stress bid while crypto retains speculative liquidity often produces the cleanest dual-beta tape for a leveraged long wrapper.

Underperforms in sharp reversals, correlated selloffs across metals and tokens, or funding spikes that invert futures curves are the natural adversaries, favorable windows are trending, not chop-filled, environments where you can tolerate daily reset behavior.
