BTGD — STKd 100% Bitcoin & 100% Gold ETF

BTGD seeks simultaneous ~100% bitcoin and ~100% gold exposure via futures and ETPs in a capital-efficient structure.

Alpha Efficiency:BAlpha Efficiency grades the non-equity sleeve of this stacked ETF on return above its borrowing cost: that's the true hurdle for a futures overlay. A sleeve that only matches its financing cost adds no value; grades above B mean the overlay is genuinely earning its keep. The sleeve beyond core equity-style beta is the paired gold and bitcoin book. Futures curve and collateral mechanics drive incremental outcomes.

Strategy

Quantify’s “STKd” line is explicitly about stacking two sleeves per dollar invested—bitcoin futures/ETPs for digital scarcity beta and gold futures/ETPs for monetary-metal beta—so collateral, margin, and roll mechanics are the entire game versus holding physical coins and bars.

When both legs trend together, compounding can feel exhilarating. When they diverge (risk-on crypto vs. risk-off gold), the fund rebalances risk budgets. CME and exchange limits can create execution gaps worth understanding.

Manager and Issuer Pedigree

Quantify Funds is a California-based issuer that has leaned into branded “stacked” ETPs rather than broad passive lineups. It is not a top-ten sponsor by AUM, so distribution and research coverage are thinner than mega-brand funds.

Several issuers now list stacked crypto and metals products with similar headlines. Before adding BTGD, compare fee stacks, collateral policy, and exact sleeve notionals so you are not accidentally doubling the same macro bet.

Outperformance

Outperforms when bitcoin’s liquidity cycle and gold’s real-rate / FX sensitivity are both working, not necessarily in the same direction every day, but with clean trends that futures books can ride without constant whipsaw.

Underperforms in sharp deleveraging that hits crypto funding while gold spikes on flight-to-quality, both can move fast, but correlation spikes can still stress dual-book margin; sizing should assume gap risk, not smooth Gaussian returns.
