Strategy
HSU uses derivatives and financing tools to target roughly 200% of the S&P 500 on a daily basis. The daily reset matters: multi-day outcomes can diverge materially from 2x simple index return, especially in volatile, mean-reverting tape.
The fund is CAD listed and historically includes currency-hedging mechanics in its structure; compounding drag, financing spread, and path dependence are the core drivers to monitor versus a plain broad-market ETF.

Global X Investments Canada (formerly Horizons ETFs Management) is one of Canada’s larger ETF issuers. BetaPro daily leverage, enhanced-beta (~1.25×), and related fund-of-funds sleeves share the same listed-derivatives and operational infrastructure.
The sponsor operates under Mirae Asset’s global platform, which supports futures-based implementation at scale. Path risk, financing drag, and index concentration still come from the strategy, not from issuer size.
