NTSX — WisdomTree U.S. Efficient Core Fund

NTSX is WisdomTree’s 90/60 U.S. core design: broad U.S. equities plus a Treasury futures sleeve in one capital-efficient ETF.

Equity Efficiency:ACapital Efficiency grades how well this ETF delivers equity-side returns relative to the capital and beta it uses, with SPY as the B baseline. Leveraged ETFs score higher when they free up capital for an alpha sleeve. Long/short and factor ETFs are graded on excess return versus SPY, net of costs. NTSX targets roughly 90% U.S. equity exposure as the capital sleeve. The grade scores that equity component versus SPY under the site framework.Alpha Efficiency:DAlpha Efficiency grades the non-equity sleeve of this stacked ETF on return above its borrowing cost: that's the true hurdle for a futures overlay. A sleeve that only matches its financing cost adds no value; grades above B mean the overlay is genuinely earning its keep. The second sleeve is Treasury futures notional (~60% target) layered through derivatives. The alpha grade scores return above hurdle for that non-equity sleeve.Stacked Efficiency:BStacked Efficiency blends Capital- and Alpha-bucket grades using the configured sleeve weights (60% capital / 40% alpha).

Strategy

The fund typically allocates about 90% to equities and uses Treasury futures to add duration without fully funding a second cash bond allocation. That can maintain high equity participation while introducing a bond sleeve.

Implementation relies on futures collateral and roll execution, so results versus a separately funded stock/bond portfolio can diverge through time even when headline exposures look similar.

Manager and Issuer Pedigree

WisdomTree built its brand on fundamentally weighted and capital-efficient ETFs well before many copycat implementations. The same derivatives-and-collateral framework underpins its Efficient Core and related stacked sleeves.

WisdomTree has reported roughly $143B+ in global ETP and tokenized AUM (late-2025 disclosures), giving institutional futures and collateral infrastructure while still operating as a specialist versus the largest index houses.

Outperformance

Outperforms when U.S. equities rise while Treasury duration is neutral-to-helpful, or when growth shocks lift bonds enough to partially cushion equity volatility.

Underperforms when equities and duration lose together in inflationary repricing environments where both sleeves face drawdown pressure.
